- Incredible book but I also took the class offered by Eva Shaw. I just can't absorb enough fast enough. Love the book and loved the class. There is so much to learn and this book covers it.
- I initially purchased this book because it was suggested as an aid in an online class I am currently taking. Eva Shaw, herself, is the instructor in the class, so I was skeptical and thought the suggestion might just be so she could sell more books. It was a pleasant surprise then, to find that the book is full of helpful hints and tips.
I have worked as a research aide for many years and have had experience researching and writing articles. My purpose in purchasing the book was to gain insight into how to place articles, format requirements, etc., and I was not disappointed. I learned that and much more.

I highly recommend this book to anyone seriously considering a career in writing magazine articles. This book has given me confidence to know that if I put in the time, I can do it. - Dr. Shaw is an extremely talented writer and teacher. This particular edition is somewhat out of date but she is updating it and it should be very useful. She teaches this (Mag. Article Writing) as an online class. Try it, you will be pleased.

- As a former on-line student of Eva's, I couldn't wait to get this book, and I was not disappointed. Less than two weeks after completing her class and the book, I have already had two essays published. Eva's help and guidance was invaluable and I strongly recommend both her books and her courses.
- I've taken two of Eva's online writing courses, and this book is like having her with me all the time. Besides being an easy read, it's jam-packed with information and encouragement. While other writing books I've purchased have found their way to library book sales, this one will retain a spot on my shelf for those two reasons. If you're serious about writing but don't know where to begin or lack the confidence in your talent, then this is the book for you.

I have taken a few of Eva Shaw's on-line creative writing courses (superb!) and wanted to purchase this book as a supplement to her materials. I was not disappointed.
